I am looking for any descendants of the Lugsdins of Elgin county, Ontario or Lugsdins of Ontario in general. Specifically, I am interested in anyone with a lineage thread to Mary Ann Topham who married James Lugden, emigrated to Canada in 1858, and whose issue all became known as Lugsdin (with an 'i' instead of an 'e' ). The spelling change occurred at the generational level of Mary Ann and James' children, as well as the children of James' older half brother Ladds William, who emigrated in 1854. To the first branch Mary Ann would be their generational grandmother, and to the second branch their generational aunt. Also, James and Ladds William had many daughters, so many other surnames may trace back. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
