I have found many variations depending on who wrote the documents, Precoor, Pricore ETC. The original name was Vanasse dit Precourt from Trois Riviere, Quebec. Most of the Precourts were Roman Catholic. The lines from Niagara and Bayham were not.
They are a difficult family to trace. John Precoor from Bayham, lived in Niagara first and moved to Bayham after his marriage. His second marriage list his parents as Andrew and Mary. Also in the same part of Niagara there were 2 others that Im sure were John's sisters. Margaret and Julia who stayed here. I havent worked on this family for a long time but I can dig out the records and he more specific if anyone is interested.
