Surnames: McLarty, McCallum, Fawcett, Moody,Leary, Phillips, Charbonneau, Nichol(s),
The OGS has has several books containing information on each of these families. My grgr grandmother was Isabella McLarty who married Dugald McCallum. The family is from Islay, Argylle, Scotland. Too, one of grgreataunts married a McLean. I have a distant cousin who's great grandparents were McLarty/Love folks. There is a connection of the McCallum/McLarty and McLachlin families as well. Our families came to St Andrews, Carillon, Quebec from Scotland. From Quebec some went to Ottawa, others to Bentinck/Egremont/Owen Sound and the rest eventually the U.S. Isabella was the youngest child and only girl in her McLarty family.

My Interest has been piqued after reading the names of the children in these families. I have people in my family with those same names.

Thanks in Advance.

Sharon

Norma,

Thank you for your response.

Do you have any information on the McLarty/Paterson family. I'm trying to find out where Neil was born, who his parents are and where his family originated.

Sharon

Sharon, please send me your e-mail address. I sent you a message, but it bounced back. I find that the e-mail addresses on this site are fuzzy and difficult to read. My address is normaatng@golden.net

Could the McLachlin's been related to the Clarks in any way?
Know I saw a will years ago with that name as perhaps grandchildren.
You never know.

I would be interested in any information you have concerning the McLarty's. I'm currently researching my gggGrandfather Alexander McLarty born around 1837 in Upper Canada. He married Rhoda Elizabeth Matthews. I have hit a brick wall! Thanks!
