Classification: Query
Surnames: Madill, Bothwell, Moncrief, Tait, Crosier, Finley, Bowles, Goodfellow, Tully, McAllister, Fuller, Barnard
Seeking researchers/descendants of John Bothwell/Jeannie (Jane) Finley, Thomas Madill/Eliza Moncrief, second Mary Tait, John Madill/Ann Crawford (Crosier), and John Madill II/Elizabeth Tait. I am a descendent of all of these families and would like to correspond with researchers doing the same. Most of them are of Irish or Scottish descent, the Madills coming from County Monaghan/County Cavan in Ireland. Jeannie Finley was the daughter of Robert Finley and Margaret Dalziel Finley Padan. (Robert apparently died at sea on the way over and Margaret eventually married Hugh Padan). My great grandmother was Zella Madill Strubeck. She was the daughter of William Madill and Caroline Madill Madill. William was the son of Joseph Madill and Julia Bothwell and Caroline was the daughter of John Madill II and Elizabeth Tait. The Bothwells and Madills intermarried any number of times. Other family names include Bowles, Goodfellow, Tully, Anderson, McAllister, Fuller, Barnard.
