I have in my possession a wood carving picture done by my father's cousin. On the back it says Hand Made by Harvard Reddick The Original Inlacraft Toronto, Canada. My mother wrote on the back "Made by Dad's cousin 1929. My dad was born in 1916 Charles Alfred Brydges. Any bells being rung on this??

As far as I know, we have no family connection to this name. But we have two wood carving pictures with the exact same Inlacraft information on back. The scenes depicted are of Okanagon Valley in B.C., and of Lake Chemung in Ontario, Canada. My mother's maiden name was Dickinson. As I recall, I was always told that these carvings were passed down through family over the years - or, possibly, my parents received them as a wedding gift. My father was born in 1910 and my mother in 1915.

Are you still looking for information about Harvard Reddick? He and his wife owned a historic schoolhouse at Victoria Park and the 401 in Scarborough in the early 1960s. I know this because a sculptor whose biography I'm writing rented the schoolhouse. It was demolished in about 1964 but the bell and the little tower the bell was in are at the Guild Sculpture Park on the Scarborough Bluffs. If you'd like any more information about the Reddicks, I have a newspaper article or two and can scan them for you. I didn't know that Harvard Reddick was a wood carver, but I only just happened upon this information. You can contact me at theterrymurray AT gmail DOT com.
