Hello. I am a great grand daughter of ALMIRA known as Mina Kyer. Her parents were John Kyer and Margaret Durant. Her siblings were: Rosella, Justus, Sophia, Edgar, Albert, Mandy, Bertha Jane, Mandy, Mariah, Norman and Earenst Carmen. The family lived in the Chesterville, Williamsburg, and Morrisburg areas. I have my tree posted on www.rootsweb.com --database is tulip222. I would love to share the information - I have very little about the family to date other than some names. My ggrandmother Mina married H. Edward O'Neil in 1866 - Chesterville Ontario. I found their marriage certificate through Ontario Archives. Kyer was sometimes spelled as Kier and other versions so it has been hard pieceing them all together.

Hope to hear from you.

Hi Marlene: Just getting back to this. I've spoken to Noella Whorrall too and we were unable to find a connection between our families. I'm sure there is one there some place but we haven't been able to find one. Let me know if you ever run across a William Kyer or Eliza Ravine in your research.

yes this is my gg grandmother. How are you related? I have a great picture of Eliza if you are interested I could send it to you. I'm really trying to find out more about Eliza's husband William Kyer. I have nothing on this line. Our family believed he was French and rumor has it he jumped from a bridge in Cornwall, ON some time before 1895 (when Eliza married Mr. Rice). Any information you would like to share would be great. Thank for replying.
