The family of Robert Kerr and Margaret Robinson attended or at least adhered to the First Ballyeaston Presbyterian Church. In the appendix to "His House on the Hill - A History of First Ballyeaston Presbyterian Church 1676-2004" by Jim Wilson. The description of this book suggests that the parishioners were Scottish settlers. Appendix I of the book is a 'Population of Ballyeaston Congregation in 1813, Rev. Samuel Elder, Minister'. Robert Kerr and his wife Margaret and their children Elizabeth, John, Robert, and Agnes can be found on page 27 where they are recorded as residing in Ballyclare. On page 269, living in Ballaybanagh there is a Thomas Robinson, age 22 whose mother, a 57 year old widow is living with him. It is possible that this is Margaret Robinson Kerr's mother. Other surnames found in this census are similar to others that are found in Dundas County and who intermarried with our Kerr family, for example, Agnew, McGee, McLelland, and Hoy.
