Hi, I'm searching for information on Walter Ernest Brown born August 4 around 1879 or so in Wiarton. Walter's first wife was Maude Spencer and second wife was Violet Staples(my grandmother). He later moved to Fort Frances,Ontario.

Have no information on parents or siblings, as he told my grandmother that he ran away from home when he was a teenager and never contacted family again and wouldn't talk about them. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi There,

Not sure if anyone is still checking this thread but I have recently started looking into the family history on my Papa's side, Douglas William Brown who is the son of Walter Ernest Brown and Violet Staples. My papa did not say much about his family history and since he passed away in 2009 I would love to learn more so I can share with my sisters and Mom. My mom would be Violets granddaughter.

I hope we can connect and talk more!

Hi Courtney!

I am your mom's cousin Ronda. I haven't really worked on this too much since I first posted this, but do have some of my mom's notebooks in which she wrote down a few names and dates that we just found when selling their house in September. I'm just getting started on getting that information together if you have any questions.

Your grandmother (Edie) has my contact information (email/phone), not crazy about posting it here. I will also send her an email to try get your email address.

Look forward to hearing from you! And say 'Hi' to your mom, it has been YEARS!

Hi Ronda!

Wow, so nice to connect with you! My Baba did say she would pass along my email to you, I would love to talk to you more! I have found out quite a bit but am still stuck on some things. I have always been so interested in learning about my mother's family since my Grandfather (Doug) was such an amazing but quiet man. Please email me at courtney.sidders@gmail.com with your contact info, I would love to talk more!

PS...My mom says HI!

Thanks Ronda, looking forward to talking to you more!
