I found in Ancestry the death dates of Philip and his wife to be the same, do you have any idea why or is it a mistake. Thank you, Shara

Post the name of the wife - Dates of death shown - Place of death - Cemetery

If you are talking about Philip H. Hitchcock & Magdelene Margaret Mary Brandow of Walsingham Township, Norfok County, the death register was just for Mrs. Philip (Magdelene) Hitchcock, not for the both of them. Philip was missing from the 1861 census even though his wife was shown with some of her children. One of these children on the 1861 census, John, was only a one year old so Philip either died between the time John was conceived and 1861, or Philip deserted the family. From the 1881 census onwards his wife was shown as Widowed.
