Sandy: Daniel M. "Manny" in his 75th year
Suddenly after a brief illness on Saturday May 29, 2010, the Sandy Family with great sadness would like to announce the passing of their dad, papa, husband of Josephine, brother and uncle. Loving dad to Lyle & Ang, Sharon, Ali, Duane & Peg, Sandra, Pat & Bev, Jim & Cindy, Derek & Becky, Sonya & Curtis, and Leisa. Very special papa to 25 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Welcoming him home with open arms are his parents Michael & Elizabeth Sandy, brother Mitchell, sisters Irene, Doreen, Romaine, Josephine and Barbara and Grandchildren Sydney Rae and Clayton. He will be sadly missed by sister Joyce Williams. Dan was a member of the following organizations; Ironworkers Local 736 for 55 years, Masonic Lodge and one of the founding members of Grand River Champion of Champions Pow-Wow. He was dedicated to resolve the many issues concerning Handenosaunee people. He will be greatly missed by many and his Monday afternoon pool league, breakfast club members at various community restaurants and also his charitable organizations he attended. Resting at his residence at 3430 Fourth Line, Ohsweken, Ontario. after 6pm Sunday May 30, 2010 until Monday morning then to the Lower Cayuga Longhouse for Funeral Service & Burial on Monday May 31, 2010 at 11am. www.rhbanderson.com
