Re: Spragge Catholic Cemetery Names
Hello, as a child I lived next to the cemetery were the old logging slips used to be. My name is Timothy Egan son of Jack Egan who lives in Blind River. He would still remember many names of persons buried around that area. Many of those old names were at one time neighbors of ours. Hope this might help your research...Tim

Re: Spragge Catholic Cemetery Names
Hello Timothy Egan I am not sure if you remember me.. I am Yvonne Boucher(Sleypen) the little girl that lived across the bridge in the white house along the beach. My father was Harry Sleypen.
We would walk to both those cemetaries many times. I even remember Mr. Spencer being buried there as they went with a horse and sleigh. I kind of miss that place

Re: Spragge Catholic Cemetery Names
Hi Maggie, I hope you're still out there in e-mail land.
I'm interested in the Robillard and the Doussept persons that are buried in the Spragge RC Cemetery. My recent information is Felonise Robillard (1849-1888) is buried there. I also am interested in the first name of the Doussept individual. One of Felonise's sisters married into the Doussept family. Do you know the history of this cemetery?
If you have any information please contact me. Thank you very much.

Re: Spragge Catholic Cemetery Names
Hi, I know that cemetery because I have relatives buried there, but I believe it is now named something else. I will be going back there in the spring.

Re: Spragge Catholic Cemetery Names
Hi Rosemary, Is the cemetery you are referring to the old RC cemetery down by the lake that is on property now owned by Americans? If so, my great grandparents, Theodore and Julianne Miron, are buried there.
My sisters and I have tried several times in the past few years to visit it, but have been unsuccessful. The land owners have given permission to families of those buried there to visit, but the caretaker for the land owners was not at all cooperative.
Any assistance you could give would be appreciated, Linda MacDonald
