HATTIE, Linda Ann - Beloved wife of Bill Hattie, passed away suddenly, at the age of 53, on January 2, 1999, in Yarmouth.
Linda is survived by her husband, Bill Hattie; her father, Basil Gosson; her children, Craig McAllister, Colin McAllister and Sharmon Hattie; her stepson, Stephen Hattie. Linda is also survived by her brothers, Morley and Earl Stanton; her sister, Myrna Farnsworth. Linda was predeceased by her mother, Marguerite Gosson; her daughter, Loretta-Lynn McAllister; her brother, Keith Stanton. Linda devoted the majority of her life to others, especially her children. Through her motherly love, care and attention she ensured that all of her children would become individuals which society would respect. Linda's working career consisted of positions such as medical and legal secretary, counsellor to young offenders and children from broken homes and as caregiver to the elderly in her latter years. In her leisure time, Linda enjoyed pursuing the arts. These were made evident through her paintings, poetry and song, all of which will be missed by many. Linda was a true giver, and as a result, often sacrificed so that others may receive. She will leave a lasting impression upon many of our hearts. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary Temple, Tiddville, Digby Co., with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Little River, Digby Co. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so in Calvary Temple today, January 5, from 2-5 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made Calvary Temple, Heart and Storke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements entrusted to Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby
