Iam the great g daughter of Joseph and looking for Josephs parents names and siblings. In his family Bible he lists himself as born in Yarmouth 6 Oct 1840 but various census dates are different. A possible lead is Frederick Augustus Clark also born Yarmouth1833.died MillVillage NS 10 April 1913. Both have sons named John Gilles. Freds son b1865. Josephs son born Liverpool NS Jan1871. Both also have sons named Frederick. Freds born 1863 Frederick W married Fannie Eaton. Joseph has Frederick Augustus born June 9 1874, died 4 July 1947 in Attleboro Mass. They also have daughters named Maud. Ihave not found a sure connection but this leads me to believe either cousins or brothers. There is also a John Gilles b1837 son of Ebinezer1787 and Abiah. This Johns Daughter Annie Raymond Clark married Freds John Gillis.No sure connection here either. If you have made progress in the last year would be very interested to hear.nancyav
