Still researching the Travis family. I have the Bible records from a gentleman in Georgia for the family of Elkanah and Lydia (Randall) Travis. Their second daughter, Joanna, b. Janaury 1832 married Boswell Ford 09 February 1853. Where, I do not know. Four of her sisters went to Gloucester, Massachusetts and I can find them in the census but not Joanna. By chance, I located her in British Columbia in 1901 and her death registration which agrees with the date from the Bible records. She has two daughters with her who were born in the USA. Does anyone know where the family lived all these years and why they would have avoided the census?
