Re: Weymouth Roberts died Nov. 1891
Anyinfo in relation to Weymouth Roberts would be greatly appreciated and dearly treasured.I am helping my daughter in law in researching her gt grandfather.Until we came across the part on Weymouth Roberts, being the son of Weymouth Roberts,Glenwood,we were on the the understanding out Weymouth was born 16.6.1840 Nova Scotia, Canada and was the s/o a randall Roberts.Until we came across the Yarmouth Light, 1892, March 31st issue it seems our information was incorrect-In New Zealand, Nov. 18th, 1891, Weymouth Roberts, aged 55 years, 8 months, leaving a widow and seven children to mourn their loss. Mr. Roberts was the eldest son of the late Weymouth Roberts, of Glenwood, and emigrated to New Zealand about 30 years ago, where he married and resided until the time of his death. Also there is some family link to the Sailors Snug,Wemouths daughter Joanne(Josephine) use to make regular visits there. Again any help would be appreciated and thank you Robyn

Re: Weymouth Roberts died Nov. 1891
I have some papers that were given to me by Brian Roberts of Glenwood. His family received them over the years from a Weymouth Roberts of San Francisco, CA. They are letters, family genealogies, history lessons etc.
In these numerous pages it mentions that Weymouth Roberts married Joan/Joanna Randall of Kemptville, NS in 1831. They had 8 sons and 4 daughters. In 1834 a Weymouth Jr. was born but lived only 2 weeks. Then the next year on May or March 5 another son was born and he was also named Weymouth. It says we know very little about him as he left NS as a young man to go to New Zealand, where he died 18 Nov. 1891.
According to a hand written page from the bible owned by Oscar Roberts, Weymouth Roberts married a Jane Blakely in 1865.
There are often differences in the info as you can see from above so I cannot be sure of all of this stuff. I was given a copy of this material because my maternal grandfather was a Roberts.
Sorry it does not give much more.

I am not related to Weymouth Roberts and unfortunately I have no info on him, but I do have information on his siblings and their children, and his line back to the Goodwins. Are you looking specifically for Weymouth?
