Thank you for the reply. I am trying to trace; Archibald Clark (e) who was married to Sara Crowdis. He is listed in the 1818 census as Archild Clerk. He was born in Bath, Maine. He died in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia August 9, 1873.

Hi
I have quite a few Crowdis' in my family tree starting with John who was born in England and came Nova Scotia in 1786 as a one year old child with his family. There are several Sarah's who were all married but not to a Clarke unless it was her second marriage.
I did find Archibald's death records in the Historical Vital Statistics of NS. He was listed as having died in Sydney Mines, NS but the actual record shows Gowrie Mines, NS. Gowrie was a coal mine located within the Sydney Mines area. He was 85 yr of age. Ref: Registration Yr 1873; Book 1803; Page 94; Number 211.
Sorry I could not be of more help.
Mary

Hi,
You can find Sarah Crowdis death record also in the Nova Scotia Vital Records. She was married to Archibald Clarke. That is how I descovered she and Archibald were married. She dies on May 1, 1873.
