I am seeking info on the family of Remi Leblanc and Mary Elena (Melina) Beranger.

Mainly if there is a connection to the micmac people.

Any help would be appreciated

I have almost all of the descendants into the 20th century of this couple. I have all of the Beranger ancestors back into France. Unfortunately, I don't have any ancestors of Remi LeBlanc.

I know of no connection between Mary Elena Beranger with the Micmacs. I don't know about Remi. If there is a connection, it would likely be through Marie Therese, who married to a Claude Petitpas about 1686.

My wife is a first cousin, twice removed, to Mary Elens Beranger. She is also a GGGGGGGgranddaughter of Marie Therese, but through a different line.

if my research is right, Claude Petitpas was married twice, and it is the other wife that the Line I am searching comes from. Thank you so much for your response!

Hi, Was just searching my mother's folks from Arichat. Her grandmother was a Martha Leblanc who married Thomas Thomas. It is such a small place that they probably were related to your relative. I took my mother to Arichat when she was about 90 years old and she loved the visit. What a beautiful place. Regards, Mary Aileen Dame, Medford, MA
