I've been searching for information on what became of Amelia Jane Munro, daughter of Jessie Munro and unk. father in Abercrombie, Pictou, NS. Her delayed registration of birth shows that she was born on 9 Feb 1883, and that as a girl she went to live with Mrs. Ellen Forbes and attended school in New Glasgow. Her mother Jessie died at her brother William Munroe's house in Bradford (now Haverhill), Essex, MA on 22 Sep 1908. Jessie's body was returned to Nova Scotia, and she was buried in Abercrombie Cemetery 25 Sep.
It's possible that Mrs. Forbes was born Ellen Bell McDonald @ McLellan's mountain, and she married Duncan Forbes, born in Abercrombie but then a resident of New Glasgow.
