We may be on to something here...If you have any 'Loddie' MacDonalds in the family. I am a 1st cousin (twice removed) of Premier Angus L MacDonald who was a direct male descendant of the original 'Loddie' Ludyvick MacDonald who emigrated to PEI in 1790 on the Jane and thence on to Antigonish. My mother's mother Margaret was from Margaree Forks Cape Breton and eventually moved to Stellerton after marrying John Angus MacArthur of Fraser's mtn.They had 16 children and I have lots of info on most of them. I'm new at this and need help too!
