SMITH, Bruce Edmund - 64, 13 Crook St., Trenton, died May 12, 1993, at home. Born in Smithfield, Guysborough County, he was a son of the late John William and Alma (Whidden) Smith. He was a resident of New Glasgow before moving to Trenton 33 years ago. He was a retired co-owner of Pellerine and Smith Building Contractors, Trenton; member of the carpenter's union and First United Church, Trenton. He is survived by his wife, the former Thelma MacGrath; three sons, Larry, Dartmouth; Rod, Halifax; Blair, New Glasgow; two grandsons. He was predeceased by a sister, Caroline Poirier. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Fri- day in H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Church, Rev. Stephen Fram officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow or Victorian Order of Nurses.
