Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has found a relationship between Johan Georg Frolig (Fralick), the original Fralick immigrant, and Johann Hermann Froehlich born in 1641 in Kreuznach, Rheinhessen, Germany and died on May 8, 1713 in Westhofen, Rhine, Palatinate, Germany. He was the grandfather of Johan Wilhelm Gorkum (Corkum), the original Corkum immigrant. Hermann Froehlich had a son named Gerhard Froehlich and Johan Georg Frolig also had a grandson named Gerhard who was a son of Johan Jacob Fralick. If anyone has any information about how these two families could possibly be related, I'd love to hear back from them. Thank you.

Hello, I can't answer your question, but have one for you. My Norman ancestoes were born in the "Fraelics Settlement" in the late 1890s and 1900s. Can you tell me where I could learn more about this place? Thanks.

Alison

Hi Allison,

I'm sorry but I don't know anything about the place you have mentioned.

Hello Blair,
I came across a woman I thought (and still may be) was an ancestor, by the name of Margaret Fralick, m. to a Michael Mehlman from Lunenburg, I'm goin' to go under a different site to see if I can find them for you.
It may take me a few days (with the holiday and all) but I'll send it to ya as soon as I can.
Vanessa.

Hi,

I've been researching this family, (mine are spelled "Fralic" now) for nearly a year, and I have also come across a few references to "Fralick's Settlement". I believe it may have been in Queens County, NS, perhaps somewhere between Beach Meadows and Liverpool.

If anyone is still following this thread at all, and knows any more info on this area, please contact at anytime.

Thanks.

My Great Grand father is Silas Fralic of Beach Meadows, my Grandfather is Leith M. Fralic. I am trying to get all information on my family there past and present. My mother has a map of the land, I don't know the year. My cousin Barb Cooke Meredith has a lot of the Farlic family tree.
