Keith,

Good to see that you have not given up on this search.

I have been unable to help us on this FULLER connection... but any new information will be appreciated. The LOCKHARTs of Forest Home are also tied into the COSTLEY family of the same area. Then of course the GOULDs.

I have not been able to find a tie-in to any FULLER family ...and I'm still interested in the GOULDs.

You may remember that my grandmother was Mary LOCKHART married to Otis Albert JESS

Hello Allen,
I did get some new info on the Gould's that helped me flesh out the Family a bit, William Gould who is buried in Oak grove Cemetary in Kentville is reported to have been the Kentville Town Crier and also one of the first Jail-Keeper's.
This is a quote from Ed Colemans website.
http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/ecoleman/editorial/e01jan05.html
"One William Gould may have been Kentville's first town crier and also one of its first jail keepers. Mr Gould is said to have served as jail keeper in Kentville for 21 years under county sheriff John Marshall Caldwell who according to Eaton's King County history was appointed in 1855. In her Kentville History (The devil's Half Acre) Mabel Nichols notes that as well as being jailkeeper, Gould was also the town crier who opened, adjourned, and closed the court."

It is also reported in the Eaton Family history that William Gould was a deputy sheriff. His daughter married otho eaton.

As you remember William Gould was father-in-law to Sarah Lockhart who married Sydney Smith Gould.
She is daughter to Thomas Lockhart and Eliza Fuller

I am trying to Make Connection with William Goulds wife Susan Kezia Coldwell's step-mother a Martha Goold or Gould and Susan's husband. Martha married Eliphalet Coldwell/Caldwell/Coaldwell of Horton.

Ed Coleman's website is a great source of History for King's County please check it out.

One other tidbit
A IGI record I found Lists Martha Gould marriage in Gaspereaux as 1826 and under relaitives it lists a D.H.Caldwell

Could have been a family connection that got William Gould his job with John M. Caldwell

Hello Allen,

I am researching the LOCKHART line - my ancestor was Timothy LOCKHART who married Elizabeth TEED/TIDD in 1793. Would enjoy hearing from you.

Thomas LOCKHART came to Forest Home, Kings County, Nova Scotia. Records state that he was born 17 Mar 1806. But, no parents are known. He died at Lockhart Hill, Forest Home, Kings County, NS in 1901.

Although, Elizabeth (b. 1812) was his wife, being a Fuller has not been established.

So, we have Thomas and Elizabeth with several unanswered questions. I understand that they are buried in Blue Mountain Cemetery, Blue Mountain, NS.

Thomas LOCKHART owned land where he was involved in the logging industry.

My grandfather, Otis Albert Jess, married Mary Lockhart, 21 Jun 1894.

Terry, this is wonderful. I am so glad you got something to come up...........we are at a standstill. Does it say she married Thomas Lockhart? I have Eliza Fuller born 1812 in Forest home, Kings County, married to Thomas Lockhart born 1808 in Forest Home, Kings Co., NS, died 1908.
Does this fit you...........if so I have a list of their offspring etc. Thanks for your help.
