Jordan Family - Kings County, Nova Scotia

I've been searching in vain to find out what happened to William Alexander Jordan b. Sept 17, 1887 NS. He was my grandfather.

His parents - James Thomas Jordan (1846-1935) and Joanna Mahar (abt 1849-1930).

He lived in Hantsport, NS and last I knew he was living in Grand Pre, NS in 1963 with a nephew (Harry? Harold?).

Any hints at all would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello: I have the obituary for William Alexander Jordan, if you would like a copy. He was my great uncle, brother of my grandfather, John Morton Jordan. I, too, have been researching this family for many years. If he was your grandfather, I assume you are the child of either his son or daughter. I found the obituary for his daughter, Violet Carol, online a few days ago. I do not know what happened to his son, Harold. Would you be willing to share information you may have on this family? I am attempting to complete this a genealogy of this Jordan line, which I trace (and confirm) to 1650 in Massachusetts. I'd be glad to share any information I have.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Looking for info. on Mary Ann Jordan/Jordon born abt. 1819 and died in Harrigan Cove. Married Daniel McDonald, born abt. 1822 and died Feb. 14 1900 in Harrigan Cove NS. Married abt.1846 Sheet Harbour. Their children: Joseph W., Mary Ellen , James Robert, John Alexander, Charles Edmond, Thomas Daniel, Johanna E, Nancy Ann, Mary Emily, George Nicholas, Abraham Melville, Henry Ephriam, Jeremiah Freeman, Mary Isabel, Georgina Archibald. Mary Ann's parents were Abigail Nowlan and Nicholas Furlong living in Quoddy in 1829. Mary Ann's siblings were Ellen Furlong b. 1829, Bridget Furlong b.abt. 1834 and John Furlong b. may 1822 Beaver Harbour NS died July 23, 1897, Annie Catherine b. 1825
Now there is a possibility that Mary Ann was a step daughter to either Nicholas or Abigail. Mary Ann is buried along side Daniel in an unmarked grave on family land in Harrigan Cove NS.

Hello...my name is Marlene Butler (Moser) I was born and lived in Harrigan Cove. Daniel McDonald was my gr. gr. grandfather. His son George Nicholas married Angelina Rumley and their daughter Nettie was my father's mother.

Interesting information you have with regards to the family. There is conflicting information on Daniel's wife's name some family members put Mary Ann Cope and others Mary Ann Jordan. Cope is a native name and apparently one of the gr. gr. grandfathers married a native.

Wondering if you could tell me what site you got your info from as I would like to reference it. Not sure if you know Gary MacDonald (Bert MacDonald's son) Port Dufferin. He had the old family bible from George Nicholas and he gave it to one of his cousins in the Sheet Harbour area who works at the drug store. Would be interesting to see if there is any info. in that book.

Well....I hope we get a chance to chat some time. Very interesting stuff. I couldn't find any church records for Daniel & Mary Ann to substantiate their marriage. Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks
