Looking for any info. on Annie Williams who in 1915 was a servant at the farm of Mrs Philips at Stewardale Inverness. She was a Middlemore home child and her report states that she left the Phillips home as she got married. Any info or suggestions on how I can find out more would be amazing! Thanks

Ann's Marriage is recorded in NS Vital Stats for Nov.3, 1915 to Daniel Hugh McKenzie.
He was 29 and Ann was 21, her middle name Hannah.
She was born in Birmingham, Eng and her parents are both deceased.
I can't find either of them in our last Census of 1911,
and couldn't find Daniel in the 1901 or 1891 Census but did find
a family in Inverness Co. that had the names of his parents.
You can see the marriage in this Gov. site.

There is a little program that comes with the site to enable you
to move the Record page around to see the contents.
Hope this helps.

I appreciate your help.
My Annie was born in Birmingham England in 1900.
She was a servant up until June 1915 according to the Middlemore Home report. The next report in November 1915 states that Annie had left the family and had married.
That is the last I have on her. I really do not know where to look next.
Thanks again!

If so, why not??

Hi Bill
My Annie was born in 1900 . The Annie you kindly found was 21. But she may have lied about her age I suppose. However my Annie did not have a middle name.
The home report for June 1915 states that "Annie was rather large for her age" . Perhaps she was pregnant? Supposition really but by November 1915 the report states that she had left and married!

Would you know if there is somewhere to search for births for that area for 1915?

Again thank you
regards
susie

This is too much of a coincidence for it not to be that same person. It states on the marriage record Annie was from Ainslie Glen. That community borders Stewartdale. They are one in the same - regardless of what the ages and the middle name say .
