i am looking for any info.on the mcdonalds that lived in river dennis, inverness, nova scota.
in the 1881 census i found alot of mcdonalds.most of them all scottish catholics.
my family tree ends with lauchlin McDonald, born 1840 in cape Breton.he married Isabella McDonnell and had four children. Angus-1873,Duncan,1875,Margaret,1877,Alexander,1979.they are all listed in the 1881 census.
any info any one might have on this family or any other McDonald's living there at that time.
in the 1881 census all the McDonalds there were farmers,it seems anyone over 50 was born in Scotland.any info on when they arrived, how many,or anything on the McDonald's at that time would be a big help.
