Re: Charlotte and Thomas DICKSON Family, lived in Kennetcook
Darren,
Do you mean my reference on the paternal line being Reynolds? This was told to me by a grandchild of Levi and Mary.

Re: Levi and Mary (Laffin) DICKSON
Could someone clear up some info. on the family of Levi Dickson and his first wife Sarah Moxon please. I have for children John T., Margaret M., William H., Minnie G., Wilhel M., Lucy, Levi M., Howard R., Joseph R. Dickson. I was only able to find details on Lucy who m. Alex. Emack.
What became of the children?
On another note: In regards to Levi Dickson who married Mary Laffin I can't seem to figure their children. Based on the 1911 census there are 9 children listed. Levi M. 39, Flora 20, Gerty 15, Charles 12, Oliver 8, Charlotte 7, Harold 6, Lenie 3, Georgina 11/12
Levi Dickson and Mary Laffin was married in 1904
Did Levi Dickson marry three times? Would anyone have info. when Levi and his wife died?
thanks

Re: Levi and Mary (Laffin) DICKSON
Hi,
Thanks for the information.
Based on what information I learned, the five children of Mary A. Laffin were from a Reynolds. Two of the children were put into a home as they had health issues.
Now that brings me to Reuben Burns that married Gertrude Dixon in 1929 in Pictou County, N.S.
The record has Gertrude record as Dickson plus for some odd reason, Gertrude's parents are listed as Levy and Mary (Qaffy or Taffy) Dickson. The age and place of birth seems to match.
I seem to have Levi Dickson marrying 3 times. 1st to Sarah Matilda MOXON 2nd in 1859 to Sarah POWELL 3rd in 1904 to Mary A. LAFFIN

Re: Levi and Mary (Laffin) DICKSON
Look at the marriage record of Gertrude Dickson again and you will see she isn't able to read or wright. The plus sign is her mark made to signify that the signature is hers. If you look below the signature of witness, Charles Dickson has the same mark and in his case the words "his mark" are used.
