Surnames: Isenor, Miller
looking for info on Rita May Isenor's parents. According to her marriage certificate in 1922 when she married Keyes, her father was listed as (deceased) James Isnor and mother was listed as Mary Belle Isenor. I can't find the 3 of them in any census. I found a census for a Mary Belle Isenor with George R. Miller in 1911(They were married in 1909 but she wasn't listed as widowed in the marriage cert). There is a child in the census, Rita May, born same year as the one above. So I'm starting to think that even though the marriage to George Miller doesn't list her as widowed I think maybe it's the right Mary Belle and Rita May (even though on 1911 & 1921 census they have her last name as miller). Does anyone know if this is all correct and can anyone tell me about James Isenor/Isnor?

I suspect there was no James Isenor as Mary's Maiden name Isenor unless he was a cousin of hers. I don't see a marriage or death for a James Isenor in the right time frame

Did see that her parents George and Isabell are both Isenors mrd in 1876

Mary is with her parents George and Isabell Isenor in 1891

Isabell is a widow in 1901 and Mary not with her but see other Isnor/Isenors and Keyes as well.

James H Isenor and Annabella and children are in the 1901 Census in Nine Mile River. That info should help you get started. He is in the 1891 Census in Halifax Co. as James Isnor, age 40. I think his wife listed as Emma is a mix up with
their daughter Emma. You will find some marriages of the children in
NS Vital Stats.

There is a marriage in Vital Stats for 1916 for a James and Anna and their ages
are the sames as shown in the 1901 Census, could be them possibly.
