Hello: We are planning a trip from the USA to Nova Scotia in the fall and hope to visit many places of our ancestors.

My great grandfather - George Bernie Cameron was born in Montague June of 1874.
His parents were William Gordon Cameron(born Hardwood Hill) and Annie Catherine(MacDonald)Cameron.

If possible we would like to see the area where the family lived during that time - pin point it the best we can.

Any help would be greatly appreciated in our venture.

I looked in my Nova Scotia Atlas and can find only one Montague. Montague Gold Mines just outside Dartmouth.

Hi Dorothy: Thanks so much for your reply - that's got to be it.

The family worked in the mines so may have been a company run little town.

As our trip is going to take us to many area's we are trying to locate as close as we can our places of intrest.
