Thanks very much. I've used the Family Search site often and have looked through the St. Paul's church records. There is lots of great information in this site.

Hello,
Yes I have a good deal of information on Hugh and Margaret. As it is too much information to post, you may email me at e.amarandos@ns.sympatico.ca. I've been researching this family for quite a few years.

Hugh and Margaret are also my great-great grandparents on my maternal side.

Hi Alana this is Alannah! I have been all through these threads for years but have not seen any info on who Margaret Brown's parents were? I have decided to focus my research at this time to my Mitochondrial line and am stuck at Catherine Brown who married George Edwards (Lawrencetown & Hants) in 1795 in Halifax both of Windsor. John Dempsey also of Windsor was witness. I have a bit of grant info on George Edwards of 22nd Regiment. Also in 1795 the Western Windsor District Poll Tax shows GEORGE EDWARDS labourer, next to him is JAMES AND JOSEPH BROWN Farmers and JOHN DEMPSEY. So am thinking James or Joseph Brown could be Catherine's Father. Looks to me like they moved from Lawrencetown to Halibut Bay around 1820. 1827 Maria Edwards (daughter) married John Brown of Herring Cove. Too close for comfort or wrong Browns? Thanks Alana
