MacKINNON (Cox), Annie Martha - 101, Halifax, passed away on June 21, 2006, in the VG Site, QEII. Born in Shelburne on March 13, 1905, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Sedella (Henley) Cox. She graduated from Shelburne High School and worked with the Western Union in Amherst, Sydney, and Halifax before her marriage in 1930. She was very active in the church and community while living in Bedford from 1943 until 1969, when she moved to Halifax. She was a member of St. John's United Church, Halifax. She is survived by her son, W. Neil MacKinnon; daughters, Barbara and Margaret MacKinnon, both of Halifax; brothers, Matthew (Dorothy) and Alvin Cox, both of Shelburne; sister-in-law, Doris Cox, Yarmouth, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. William Donald MacKinnon, E.D. in 1957; sister, Alice Williams (Maryland); brothers, Ernest and Robert Cox (Yarmouth). The funeral will be held on Monday, June 26, at 2 p.m. in St. John's United Church, Windsor, Rev. Linda Yates officiating. Burial will take place in Brookside Cemetery, Bedford.
