my grandfather ralph edward smith married mary ann tobin in halifax,n.s.june 28,1904. she was the daughter of william & catherine tobin who were shopkeepers. i believe mary ann had a sister bessie who was a nurse . i think she helped ralph with the children after mary ann died(nov.25,1925), until he remarried. i never had the chance to know my grandmother or her family and would appreciate any information if there are any family members remaining. i think there may have been some ill feelings as ralph was protestant and mary ann catholic and they were married by a protestant minister. any info appreciated. thank you
