The death occurred on Saturday night of Mrs. Emma Smith, aged 72 years, at her home on Hammonds Plains road. She was the widow of Wilfred Smith. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gritt and was born in Surrey, England. She had lived in Canada for the past 35 years. The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon with interment at Bedford cemetery.
