My Elizabeth Greencorn was married to John Knowland b. 1830 d. abt. 1918 in Guysborough Co. NS. John Knowland's Parents were believed to be John Nowlan and Susannah Hurst.
Their daughter Abigail Knowland Feb. 7 1855 -April 20 1934 of Philips Harbor,Guysborough County, NS, was a mid-wife also known as AUNT ABBIE, trained by Reverend James Scott, a medical missionary. She was my great, great, great grandmother.
I also have in my records, Lydia Knowland 1862-1941 Queensport, Guysborough County, Nova Scotia

Ann Dort was b: June 7, 1792. She was daughter of Valentine Dortt and Elizabeth . Ann married John Greencorn May 02, 1815. As for Valentine and Elizabeth, the Guysborough township book says they married 16 January 1785 and yet it seems they were already married in July of 1784.

Hi all! I am researching my children's family tree, having spent years on my own. My husband is a George from Canso and one of his ancestors is the 'other' David (Alexander) Greencorn I see mentioned in this thread. He married Alevia (aka Eva, Levia, and Olivia) Catherine Snow on Oct 29 1900. They had at least 6 children I have confirmed, with a 7th in question, one of these being the Margaret Greencorn who wed Alfred Rhynold. My husband is descended from David's daughter Hilda May Greencorn and her husband Wallace Roberts. I am currently seeking David Alexander Greencorn's parents. I have his marriage records, listing his parents as "John & Bella", however I have not been able to locate them. Anyone know this family line? Thanks, Allison

According to my records, David Alexander Greencorn is the son of Edward Joseph Greencorn b. 01 Oct 1859 at Half Island Cove, Guysborough County d. 25 Sep 1941, place unknown and wife Bella (maiden name unknown) DOB Unknown, Place unknown. I do have a fairly extensive GREENCORN family genealogy database. I built it to help me narrow down those that were and were not possibly in my family line. So, let me know if I can be of further assistance. However, please note that I descend from a different Greencorn family line.

This Martha Greencorn and her husband James Johnson may have been from Newfoundland and moved to Cook's Cove, Guysborough, NS in the early 1800's. Did you locate the connections you were seeking?
