Taylor, Balcom, Watson, McCarty/McCarthy, White, etc., Nova Scotia
Hello. My name is Pavla; if I already posted this, excuse me. I tried a week or so ago, was unsure if it came through as I couldn't find it. My grandma was Ida Naomi TAYLOR, daughter of Samuel Balcom Taylor and Delia WATSON. Samuel's parents: James TAYLOR and Margaret BALCOM. Delia's parents: George J. WATSON and Emily Caroline BALCOM (marr. FISHER 2nd). James' parents: Alexander TAYLOR of Scotland and Ann (prob. ANNAND). Margaret's parents: Samuel BALCOM and Mary/Nancy McCARTY/ MCCARTHY. Emily's parents: Robert/George WATSON And Amelia WHITE. Etc., etc. My Taylors came to Nova Scotland from Banff, Scotland ca. 1810, abt. same time as Capt. George Taylor, a relative. My Balcoms lived in Mass, USA, moved to Nova Scotia, Sheet Harbour area. I would like to hear from any/all descendants on the above lines. I'd really like to exchange info with you. Thank you in advance for your time and any help you can give. Hoping to hear from you. Pavla

Hello, I was wondering if you might have a Jidithen Taylor Chandler in your ancestorys His parents were Jebez Ezra Chandler and Rhoda Porter. He was born in Ga. in Oct. 24, 1850. He married a Malissa Jane Smith Ala. in 1871. He later moved to Gober Texas. His grandfather was James Chandler and Elizabeth Richardson of Ga. There is a picture of him and his wife in the genalogy books on line in Fannin Co. on the Rootsweb. Some of these people came from Canada and Nova Scotia. Some of them were Quakers. Bertha

Hi, Bertha. You asked about Jidithen Taylor Chandler from Georgia, if I have him in my line. No, I don't think so. "Chandler" is really my husband's line but I worked it back aways, believe my Chandlers came from the Carolinas. I'm not sure where they were before that, but think England. There probably were offshoots from the Carolinas into Georgia - sounds logical, but I don't have that right. What I will do, tho - I have Chandler info going back to abt 1700, some I did and some another relative sent me several years back. I haven't been working on my husb's line, but will get the Chandler stuff out and look for you. I will try to find another person for you to write to also, re. Chandler. I will resp to you, at least tell you if I found anything -- if you don't hear back in abt a week, tho, please shoot an email off to me, ok?
