According to my research, Violet is a decendent of Robert Foster.

Robert Foster was the son of John and Nancy Foster. I believe he had a brother Thomas as his parents had the same name. My great great grandfather was John Foster. I believe he may be a brother or close relative of Robert. My John was born in Fisher's Grant (now Pictou Landing). He later lived in River John and had property in Brule. John, his wife Sarah and family moved to Princeport on the Shubenacadie River c1860-65. He was a ship carpenter. John, Robert, Thomas and a George Foster all were property owners in Brule (near Brule Corner) during the 1840 - 1865 period. At one time were all involved in the ship building trade.

My John's children as far as I know so far, were John (Jock), Henry, Margaret and Hannah. Do you have any info that would connect Robert to my John? Or info on Robert's ancestry? I feel that Robert's father may have been John Foster Jr. who ran a ferry in Fisher's Grant in the early 1800s. I can't prove it, yet. And I may be off course. Any thoughts?
