Timothy, Hi! The Gavels seemed to have come from Gavelton or Marshalltown. They were two different branches from two brothers, I believe. We are from the Marshalltown branch. How about you? I don't know any other Gavel info yet. Sue

Hi, I may be able to help you as I was a Gavel, from one of the two brothers you mentioned, from Weymouth, my grandfather was Arnold Gavel, and my mother married Edmund G. Titus from Digby Neck, in fact I also have a cousin named Timothy Gavel, not the same one who replied to this message though. I had heard the same about these two gavels, however, my grandfather was one of many children, I used to have all the info but somehow lost most of it as I am not an avid genealogist. Let me know any info you would like.
Anita

Hi Anita! I am looking for a John Gabriel Gavel.
He married Eva Amero, 4th nov 1919 probably
in Plympton NS. Eva was my husband's great
grandma (from her first child Charlie, whom she
had before she married John Gavel). We have
a fair bit of information on them by now. I have spoken
to some of their children, but it's always nice to get new
friends and contacts! It would be great if you could help with any other info.

I believe I am one of the descendents of George Gavel, born approx. 1850 in Marshalltown, Digby County. He is my great great grandfather. To the best of my knowledge, his children were Harry, John, Bill, Steve (b.Dec.15,1887) who was my grandfather, Rose, Clara, and Lydia. I do have some more info. if you care for me to send it to you.

Hi Sue,
We've been in contact years ago.. I found the Gavel family. Eight years ago. Hooked up with Titus', Duncans, and met some Gavel's. In touch with a few of them. Moving home to NS next year if all plans come together.
