Surnames: Comeau, Hatfield, Clark, Ball
Seeking info.on ancestors of Joseph Hatfield born abt. 1845, Digby Neck, Digby Co., Nova Scotia, living in Marshalltown District 1891 census. Listed as Roman Catholic shoe cobbler of Bloomfield at marriage to Rachel Comeau, of Bloomfield at marriage, born abt 1853 (births calc. from census), married 8 Nov 1868 St. Mary's Bay, Digby. His parents supposedly Joseph & Jane ( ) Hatfield. Her parents
Charles & Caroline ( ) Comeau.
Following children found thru census: Serena Ann Hatfield b. 11 Nov 1868 at North Range, Digby Co. supposedly married one Joe Simms and had at least 5 children. Many who came to the US (New Hampshire).
William (Henry W.) Hatfield b 11 Sept. 1873
Elizabeth (Mary) Hatfield b.27 April 1880 (my great-grandmother)
Herbert H. Hatfield b. june 2 1882
Edith Blanche Hatfield b.29 july 1886 came to US (Ma.) and married Charles Dennis
Caroline Hatfield b.30 Dec. 1887
John Percy Hatfield b.24 April 1890
Joseph Edward Hatfield b.20 April 1893 supposedly adopted by a family named White at death of mother. But another family story says he was called Joe Sims.

Joseph Hatfield, Sr.and Caroline supposedly lived until after 1896 and both died of TB. Family lore says most children were then placed with other families.
My great grandmother, Elizabeth (Mary) Hatfield supposedly went to live with her sister Serena Sims and her husband Joe. Elizabeth became pregnant (supposedly by Joe) and had a daughter Serena Winifred Sims abt 1907 in Nova Scotia. She then went to live with a family named Clark, pob. in Yarmouth. She was married in Yarmouth, 5 June 1909, to Owen Martin Ball born about may 1886. She was called Eliza Clark at marriage and had supposedly lived with a Marguerite Clark. Witnesses at marriage Mrs. S. Sims & Mrs. Walter Graham.
She and Owen eventually came to New Hampshire with 3 daughters. I would love any info. on any of the above families. Thanks, Andrea Calef Rowell
