Surnames: O'Brien, Campbell, Hindman
There's a lot of confusion about my 2nd great grandmother Ada Campbell. Wondering if anyone can help.

Marriage to Michael O'Brien Nov. 6th, 1879, Age: 17, Amherst, Cumberland, Nova Scotia, Canada. Ada Campbell and Michael O'Brien married 1879 in Cumberland County Item can be found in Registration Year: 1879 - Book: 1809 - Page: 177 - Number: 171

On this marriage record her parents are listed as Jas & Katherine. On her death record her parents are listed as James Campbell b. Scotland and Annie Parker b. Nova Scotia.

On the 1871 Census I found Ada Campbell living with James Campbell and Mary Jane Hindman. They were married May 1st, 1829 at Tolbooth Church in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland and arrived in Nova Scotia in 1840. Based on their age in 1871 they're too old to be Ada's biological parents.

Ada's marriage record does list the occupation of her father as Mason, and James Campbell and Mary Jane Hindman did have a son James, who was a Mason, who born in Edinburgh, married a woman in Guysborough, and lived and died in Colchester County.

Just wondering if anyone has any of the missing information.. help put this puzzle together.

That's Catherine Dyes, Alexander's wife. But if Catherine Dyes is her mother... who's Katherine McDonald and Annie Parker? Hmmm...
