Would anyone have info on a John Brenton Donovan b. c. 1850 who married Sarah Jane Hudson from Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia. They had four children -- Florence, Jessie, Dr. Oscar Glennie and Blanche. I am having difficulty trying to find info on his parents (have lots of info on his descendents). His marriage record indicates that his parents were Henry and Susan Donovan and that he was born in Bristol, GB, however, death record and children's birth records indicate that he was born in Halifax, NS.
