Robert SPICER and wife Priscilla of England to Advocate

I am doing some family tree research for friends and wonder why some researchers have Robert SPICER Sr's wife as Priscilla CROMWELL while others have it as Lady Priscilla CHOMONDELEY??

There seem to be stories written and associated with both surnames for Priscilla.

I am wondering if there is any FIRM documentation for either of them?

Many thanks for any help or advice :o)

Ther is no evidence Priscilla was the daughter of Cholmondley OR Cromwell. The Cholmondley are well documented and she does not exist among their records I think Cromwell is a a corruption of her real surname Crumpler. Poor handwriting and a misinterpretation may be the reason for this .
Priscillas' birth and marriage appear on the Parich registers in Dorset. The forsy suggestion that Cholmondley was involved appears in the papers, journal and letters of the Spicer family in NS and none of them were contemporary to Robert and Priscilla but a generation later and no reliance cvan be placed on them
