I see I am getting confused by the messages: I have Reuben Rector Mar 7, 1834 and his wife Jerusha MacAloney Mar 26, 1840 married July 29, 1856 at Parrsboro. Their children: Christian abt 1862, Mary Ellen Nov 7, 1863, Alexander abt 1865, John abt 1868, George Francis Jan 18, 1871, Plena abt 1874, Rebecca nov 1880, Nathan Tupper Aug 12, 1881. I have no deaths for Reuben and Jerusha.

I know it is confusing isn't it? This is what I think is true:
Jerusha McAloney Rector(1840) is the second daughter of Robert Burns McAloney (1810) and Christianna Rector McAloney(1813). She married Rueben Rector and had a daughter she named Christina Rector(1858). Does that help?

My mother's mother was Christine Moorhouse nee McAloney, she had a sister Harriet (Hat or Hattie), Jerusha (Roush), and Jennie who married an Adams, and at least one brother James (Jimmy) married to Elizabeth (Libby or Lib). I believe there were more sisters and brothers, but at this point I'm not sure of the names. They were all from the Joggins then Parrsboro and most settled in Springhill or Springhill Junction. If I can help let me know.
