Hi Ivy
The main one we are interested in is Alexander Anderson McKimmie born about 1835 and died OCT 25, 1895. He is the husband of Agnes Kerr born about 1840. In the 1871 Colchester County Census he is shown as a lumberman living in Riversdale. He and Agnes have a son Alexander born about 1864.

His father (Alexander McKimmie-62 years old in 1871 Pictou County Census), Brother (James McKimmie-23 years old in 1871 Pictou County Census) and Sister (Elizabeth-married Michael English and has a daughter Elsie English) we are also interested in.

Looking through some of the pictures on your profile we'd really like to see the obituary for Anderson McKimmie to see how he is connected to these we are doing. Anything on the McKimmie's in Pictou or Nova Scotia would likely be heplful.
Thanks
Kenneth

Can you give me an e-mail other than this one on Colchester so that I can send you my mailing address? That would be great. I got your e-mail and just wanted to let you know that they mystery of the death possible at the saw mill of McKimmie is what I was hoping to solve. Will send info. that I have. Gratefully, Ivy

Hi Ivy
You can send your address to
jocelynlcox@hotmail.com or danielle.wood@dal.ca
We have heard tell that James was murdered but we are in the dark on that as well. His brother Alexander may have committed suicide in Riversdale. Alexander's son, Alexander, is reportedly murdered in Monsoon Maine in 1888 (from the Presbyterian Witness). We will send what we have that might be a clue to figure something out
Thanks
Kenneth

Is there a Lanther Family in the book or is this a misspelling?

Hi, Kenneth. I was living in Truro on Curtis Drive a little over two years ago -- I believe I bought the last copy of your book at that time. I am now living in Ontario.

William Wall was my ggggrandfather -- his son Walter Wall married Jane Johnston, daughter of William Johnston and Esther Wilson. Walter and Jane's daughter, Elizabeth, married Alexander William Dewar -- son Hugh Lawrence Dewar and Prudence Elizabeth Caroline Bezanson were my grandparents.

Would you have any further info on Walter's father, William? Parents of William Johnston and Esther Wilson or perhaps some info on their son, Joseph Johnston?

Thank you.

Jane (Dewar) Buote
