HI Suzanne, Its your cousin Robert from Nova Scotia, I know who Frederick Thurrott's father was..... his name is T______
C___. He owned the Saw Mill across the river from Janet Thurrott in Welsford Parish, NB. She baby-sat for him...and at some point she became pregnant with his child. She may have been sent away to Boston where she had the baby. Later on she married James Walker and had more children. I have a picture of Thomas Cail and in researching his ancestry I found no connection with Micmac bloodlines, his family came from England. Thomas Cail and Frederick Thurrott look almost Identical. The picture was supplied by Babe Walker, grand daughter of Janet Thurrott and James Walker.
In relation to the Smiths of Stewiacke, the were from Annan Scotland, and settled in New Annan, Colchester Cunty, Her parents were Alexander C Smith (English Origin) and Jane Millar. its very unlikey that there is any Micmac Blood in our lines. The traits may just be Of scottish French origin, as Frederick's ggg-grandfather was of french ancestry "Francois Thurot." I speak of the line via his mistress who stayed in Scotland, upon his death and burial there.
