Margaret was born July 8, 1868, not 1865. Her birth was noted in a record book kept by Jane Soley Hamilton, a local midwife. It states under the year 1868: July 8 Mrs.George Dart of a daughter. Also, it should be noted that Margaret's headstone is inscribed 1869-1934. I believe this is a mistake. Depending on the time of year she died, someone may have subtracted her age and come up with the wrong date (1869). Her father, George, was nick-named "Fazzy." Her mother was Hannah Jane Coulter. Maggie was born and lived in Pleasant Valley on a farm located near where I live today. (Pleasant Valley is immediately west of Brookfield, in the southern end of Colchester County.) She was married Feb, 24, 1885, at the St. Andrews Manse in Truro, to Peter Suther Nelson. He was the son of Charles Nelson and Nancy Dunn. They lived just up the road from Maggie. They raised their family on the Nelson home place. They are buried in a cemetery located on what was her father's farm property. Maggie's Grandfather, John Dart and his brother, Thomas, moved to Pleasant Valley c1840. Maggie's father, George, was a first cousin of my Great-Great Grandfather, Isaac Dart. I live on part of Thomas' property. I can see the Nelson farm, Dart farm and the cemetery out my window! Note:there are a number of Dart Family errors on the Genejane web site.
