Hi, I think you are looking for info on the Barbara C McKenzie who married Henry George Marshall? Her parents were Alexander McKenzie (1863-1949) & Bella McRae (1865-1889). Barbara was Alexander & Bella's only child. Alexander McKenzie never remarried after his wife, Bella, died. Her parents were James & Nancy McRae.

Alexander was the son of Kenneth McKenzie (1824-1897) & Elizabeth Hatch (1828-1909) -- they are buried in Mac/McKenzie Cemetery in McKenzie Settlement, Colchester County, NS along with Alexander's wife and grandson.

Children of Kenneth & Elizabeth:
- John W
- Barbara (m. John Cavanagh)
- Murdoch
- Jane
- Alexis (Lexie) Isabella (m. Homer Blackmore)
- Alexander (m. Bella McRae)
- Elizabeth Ann
- Charles F
- Philip

Hope this is the info you were searching for!

Hi, Shannon. I am indirectly related to McKenzies from 4 mile brook -- Barbara C MacKenzie married Homer McNutt (a relative).

According to a family tree on Ancestry, Kenneth's parents were Murdoch Buchan MacKenzie, born 1792 Ross-shire, Scotland and died 1871 Four Mile Brook, NS & Barbara Munro who was from Kiltearn, Ross & Cromarty, Scotland.

Murdoch's parents were Alexander MacKenzie b. 1768 Ross-shire, Scotland and died 1819 Four Mile Brook, NS & Margaret Dingwall.

Thanks again. This researching family history gets confusing. I was told that there is native blood line in our family and really just want to know more about my family history for my children.
