In my grandfather's big ol family bible(it's a ton at least..haha), I found a newspaper clipping of a picture of three men who reunited "somewhere overseas" during the war. I'm assuming its WWII.
Here is how it reads.
Pictured above are three Sydney Mines brothers, Lance Corporal A.C. Genter, Pte. D.D. Genter and Corporal F. J. Genter, who recently enjoyed a happy reunion "somewhere overseas."
The trio are sons of Mrs. James Cox, Main Street, Sydney Mines. (End)
Written on the article by my grandfather reads:
My grandfather was John Matheson of Atlantic Street in Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. Married to Amy Gladys McNeil. He was the son of Kenneth Matheson and Norine Smith. They resided on Terrace Street in Sydney. Anybody having information as to how my grandfather would be cousins of these Genters, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
