Thank you so much for looking into this. Unfortunately most of our information is coming from Fred's children so they don't remember a lot of details about his mother. Even the 1944 as the year of her death is based on Fred's daughter remembering what her mother told her, she also remembers visiting her grave near the ferry to Newfoundland but I still haven't even confirmed her death. I do have pictures of Fred with the Macleans and his mother and some of his siblings, but no one can confirm which last names went with which sibling, except they are pretty certain Ned was a Folks and lives in the "valley", Ernest was a Murray, and William(Bill) was a Murphy, he had a son Clifford Thomas Murphy, known as "Skippy" born 1937 and we spoke with Skippy's wife Irma born 1944. Both Skippy and Irma are still alive.
