Quite the list of ancestors. Presumably these are the surnames of my ancestors through my Boutilier line. Most of the information comes from other members' Public Trees. Up to this point I've been just taking it for granted. Is there anyone who can confirm or verify the validity of this research?

What exactly is your lineage? I've seen all those names. My maiden name is Boutilier and most of it is correct from records, but has been copied so often that it should be verified again. I know where you can view the information of records from France if you're interested. I have 3 Boutilier lines and the Maillard, Mignerey and Boutilier names we definitely have in common.

Yes I would like that very much. I descend from Thomas Boutilier son of James Boutilier and Mary Ann Petrie.

Hi, most of these names are also connected to the Besancons (Bezansons) -- Jean Georges Boutilier & Sarah Grange were my 6th great grandparents. Their daughter, Catherine, married Jean Georges Bezanson and had two children -- Jean Jacques Bezanson who married Anna Marie Loy/Ley/Lay & Susannah Catherine Bezanson who married a Robar. After the death of Jean Georges Bezanson, Catherine married Stephen Etienne Marriette and had a number of children. There is a lot of info on the Bezansons which has been verified -- as well as on other French Protestant immigrants, ie., Robar, Mattatall, Maillard, Marriette, Boutilier.
