I am looking for information on William and Elizabeth March/Marche/Murch

They have 2 know children Maria Ann and Mary Ann. These 2 girls were baptized by the Burnt Island Mission in 1860.
Location states Peters Arm, NL

My information end there. I can not find out where William is from or any information on Elizabeth.

I would guess that Elizabeth would be born appx 1830-35 and William 1820-30

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I am.
Maria Ann March/Marche is my Great Grandmother and I am trying to trace our Family Tree.

I have always been told that she was a "full" Native. However, I can not find any information to prove this. I have researched the both the cencus and chruch records. And nothing...

I am also very curious as to find out what her parent's names were - I have William and Elizabeth - from the Mission Chruch records - but strangely enough - all 3 children that were baptized that day had parents named "William and Elizabeth" ~ which makes me think they may of had Native names that the minister could not spell or understand??

Do you have any information on them??

I would love to share information. Thanks!!

I have hit a dead end on every path I have tried. It is very difficult to prove if someone was Native!

Thanks again...

Hi there, I just spotted this post. I realize that it's old..hope you're still around. My Grandmother, Amelia White, I believe, was named for your Grandmother, her Aunt, Amelia Marche. Her Mother Was Clara, and she married John Edward White of Stephenville. :) Their children were Effie, Amelia (my Grandma), Dora, Regina, Angela, Muriel, and sons John and James.
