Hello, I 'm also looking for information about the Clark's of trinity bay. My great grandfather Joseph was born 1857 Trinity Bay Hearts Desire Newfoundland fisherman. Father of English decent mother Irish. Joseph married Margaret Connolly also from Newfoundland. Joseph has three siblings that I know about a brother John drowns off Cape Cod also a fisherman and two sisters. Fannie stays in Newfoundland marries George Leahey and Annie immigrates to America . Joseph's father dies when he is ten. I have census records from after his immigration but none from Newfoundland . Any info would help

I have details of Elizabeth Evans going back to early 1800's I have her parents and grandparents and also all of her siblings. One of John's cousins moved to Ma around 1914 and more than likely had some contact with John Herbert. She married there in 1917. I also have a picture of Elizabeth when younger as well as a niece. And I would love to have pictures of Herbert John and Minnie Miles. I also believe I have a picture of james Piercey, but it is out around the bay and I won't be going out until JUne. I have Johnathon as the son of Caleb White and Elizabeth. It may very well be Hutchings, however I haven't worked on these lines in a long time.

I have this family in my tree, via Johnathon and Elizabeth White (Cooper) daughter Tryphenia White. She married Richard Hillier on Nov 9, 1882.
My maternal line is the Hilliers of New Harbour. Also know that Jane, Trphenias sister married a Robert John Hillier but have yet to link him in.

I am searching for the birth, baptism, parents, siblings and ANY information of Edward Cooper (born abt 1781- death 1868).

Here is what I do know about him:

MARRIAGE #2
Nov. 3rd , 1812, in Trinity Bay
Married Edward Cooper (born about 1781) of the Parish of Lymington in Great Britain and Ann Emmery (born about 1798) of St. Johns on this Island (Newfoundland). Ann Emmery was 14 years old when they married.

POSSIBLE MARRIAGE #1
Edward Cooper may have been previously married to Louisa Hodder (b. 1785) in 1805 (location unknown).

DEATH of Edward Cooper: May 6th, 1868. Aged 87 Years.

POSSIBLE BIRTH YEAR: Edward Cooper was born about 1781

EMMIGRATION: It is unknown when Edward Cooper moved to Newfoundland from the UK.

Any help that you might have would be wonderful!

Births/baptism: There are two different listings-one for parents Eli and Elizabeth; the other for Eli & Elizabeth Ann. I assume they are one and the same.

Eli & Elizabeth Ann children:
William John July 1, 1874
Simeon July 30, 1876

I am of a different branch of Reids in Newfoundland (so far anyways) but I connect to the Pinhorn family here, Benjamin Pinhorn 1837, is a brother to John Pinhorn b: c1745.

John Pinhorn married Mary Barnes, their daughter Charity Pinhorn married William John Pollett (son of William Pollett & Priscilla Hefford.)

Rebecca Pollett, daughter of William John & Charity married James Hellyer Jr (later spelled Hillier), James & Rebecca are my 4th great grandparents.

My G Grandfather was Solomon Reid of South Dildo. His son Albert Reid from Hearts Delight was my Grandfather, my Mom is his daughter Pheobie. I would be interested in finding out all information you can provide me with regards to James, and both Solomon and the family line and where they came from and who they married... I have some information and will share willingly , there is some speculation that James may have married a Mary Smith from Chapel Arm, Mary was a sister of Martin Smith my G Grandfather.. They may have come from England as orphaned kids to Chapel Arm, but as of yet, I have not made any connection to confirm this... I'd love to know more about this Bailey & Miller family. I only have the details I posted earlier. What I'm really wondering if you have any further info regarding Elsie (Bailey) & her marrying my GrUncle Lawrence Fitzgerald? If there are any children/grandchildren? If/where they resided? The Zebedee Bailey and Emma Miller you speak of are in my family tree. These Baileys lived in Old Bonaventure, Trinity Bay. Emma Miller is part of the Miller family that lived in New Bonaventure I think. If you are interested in more info let me know. I'm stalled on getting info on their father Moses Browns roots. His first wife was a Rachel Mills and second a Grace Turner. The picture can be found on the Grand Banks web site.

Catherine Button was born Feb 25/1847 to John Button (1807-1880) and Sarah Dean 91809-1896) both of Old Perlican. John and Sarah were married Oct 22/1831. Other children of John and Sarah were Amelia, Ann, Clarinda, Elizabeth, George, Jane, Moses and Thomas.

Yes, there are 2 connections. Leah Cooper's brother Edward & James Brown's sister Mary Ann were married & they are my GG-grandparents. The 2 sets of siblings were married on the same day. The details below are summarized from the Grand Banks Genealogy site.

I have one generation earlier on the Brown side & two generations back on the Cooper side. I also have a photograph of Edward & Mary Ann that my grandmother gave me. I'll send it if you're interested

I am researching my Great Grandmother, Julia Anne Jacobs, born in 1863, I believe in Fogo, Newfoundland. She married Elias Granter, born in Ganbo, NF, on Dec 1, 1882 in Greenspond, NF.
One of the witnesses at their marriage was John Jacobs, possibly her father, or maybe her brother?

Does anyone know anything about a Beatrice Ivany who died in Britannia on February 26th, 1933? She died of tuberculosis at the age of about 24.5 years, making her born around August 1908.
I'm not sure if she is the person I'm looking for, but I believe she may be. If she is, she was married to Basil Ivany (who died a few years later) and had two children, Reginald and Leslie, born 1929 and 1931, respectively. Does anyone know anything about this?

Also, does anyone have any other information about Ivany's in this area?

I'm not sure if we are thinking about the same people or not but I have a Harriett Ann Cranford b. 1898 in my family tree, daughter of Robert Cranford and Martha George. She had a son Malcolm Cranford prior to her marriage to Eli Harnum of Heart's Delight. Are we talking about the same Harriet Ann Cranford. I have a Mary Bellman/Belbin b abt 1788 Mosquito, NL bapt. Mar. 17, 1799 (11 yrs) at Mosquito (now Bristol's Hope) died Seal cove (New Chelsea) dau of Wm Bellman/Belbin and Elizabeth (Marshall) married George Mansfield. I have 5 children listed for them - Wm Henry b 1820 Mosquito, Peter b 1822 Mosquito,
Robert b ?, Susanna bapt. 1826 Old Perlican (she married Robert Harris, Seal Cove) and Hannah b 1828 Seal Cove (Hants Harbour Parish Records).

The only information we have on Elizabeth Mugford is that she married Jacob Hefford(sometimes written as Hefforn, or Heffron),she was born about 1868/9 in Victoria Newfoundland, died 1925, and they had 10 children. The children were - William, Priscilla, Leonard, Sarah, Naomi, Minnie, Mary, Ethel, Honora and Abraham.
